'I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.' L.M. Montgomery

'There are no faster or firmer friendships than those formed between people who love the same books.' Irving Stone

Eilean Donan

Eilean Donan is the most visited castle in Scotland. It is absolutely lovely. It's situated in the Highlands in a little town named Dornie. It sits on a tidal island where three lochs come together, Loch Alsh, Loch Duich and Loch Long. You can see where the three waters meet as the water is swirly and rough there. The water is so clear. It's very windy here too. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside and there were docents so it was hard to sneak any ;(

Dornie is to the right of the bridge and our B&B is to the left

  1. You got some great photos Peggy, lovely to look back on and remember our trip.
