'I am simply a 'book drunkard.' Books have the same irresistible temptation for me that liquor has for its devotee. I cannot withstand them.' L.M. Montgomery

'There are no faster or firmer friendships than those formed between people who love the same books.' Irving Stone

Book Finds!

We are in Maryland near Ocean City (be home Sunday night). One used book store in the area and guess what, they are closed for the week! Argh! But I did get a few good books at several thrift stores and the local library had shelves in the lobby full of FREE books!

Two Rita Mae Brown books, never read hers before!
Claws and Effect
Rest in Pieces

Two Annie Dillard...
Teaching a Stone to Talk
An American Childhood

Iris Murdoch 'A Fairly Honorable Defeat'
Catherine Aird 'A Going Concern'
Georgette Heyer 'Charity Girl'
Susan Wittig Albert 'The Tale of Holly Cow, the Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter'
A first edition 1966 Roderick Thorp 598 pages! The Detective

And one cookbook...
Jamie Oliver's 'Jamie's Italy'

Of course it's out of season here so there aren't many of the beach resort things open now and the ocean is too cold to swim, but we've walked the boardwalk and gone on a picnic in Assateague National Park, shopped a little and eaten out. We are going back to Assateague on Saturday to hike and look for wild horses. The batteries in the camera died on me there the other day and I didn't get any pictures:( Hopefully I'll have some nice pics to post next week!

See you later!

Peggy Ann
