Welcome to Peggy Ann's Post ~ Come on in and sit awhile!
'There are no faster or firmer friendships than those formed between people who love the same books.' Irving Stone
Omg! My parents will LOVE this. I may have to make a special trip over to their place this weekend to show them. Isn't it funny how people have nostalgia for hard times. My kids love it when the power gets knocked out and we are forced to play board games by candle light. :). I guess hard times bring us together.
Libby it is great isn't it when we forget all the technology and have those simple pleasures again. Why do we let it so consume our lives?
This is great! My grandmother used to make pasta with peas, and my mother still does. I don't remember either of them adding potatoes though. Will share this video with my mother... she'll love it.
Potato and pasta might have been a little overkill on carbs!
Oh yes, Clara! I had forgotten about her. I really love her. Thanks for this video
boy, she is still good with a knife!
This great, Clara is awesome! 96? Amazing! I didn't know about Clara, thanks for the link.
So much fun!
What a great lady, my boys would have loved that when they were wee, they even ate pasta uncooked! Scary knife work though, I nearly cut a finger off when slicing potatoes like that soon after I got married, then I bought a chopping board!
Thanks for introducing me to Clara! She reminds me of my friend, who just turned 82 this weekend :).
Peggy Ann, I LOVE Clara. She has a cookbook too, and I wrote about it. If you are interested it is here:http://lettersfromahillfarm.blogspot.com/2010/07/pasta-fagioli.html
And such a great, great banner photograph! I just love it.
You have to check out the website for this photographer! All his pics are of dogs and they are great!
A terrific series -- thanks!
I haven't heard of this video series before, but she sounds like a woman who has kept up with the times. I hope I am that way when I am a senior.Kudos to Clara!
Me too DC!
That's great. She's a natural.
